We wish to be transparent about why we did not receive Arts Council Funding for the completion of outside it is beautiful, which already completed a successful R&D in 2024 with ACE support. In the main it is because we did not receive expected match income on time. This in turn exacerbated other project risks.
Whilst it is disappointing we believe that by addressing these concerns and the other risks more carefully, we can only the make the project better in the long run. We understand ACE's decision. We received the letter below a week ago, but we are already taking positive steps forward to move the project closer to its end goal. It might take longer, but it will be worth it. Therefore, we don't consider ACE's decision and accompanying comments a failure, we consider their notes as pointers to help us succeed better.
We have also received so many supportive and encouraging comments from our 30+ plus partners, NGOs, charities, government organisations, guest artists and educational partners and we are riding on this wonderful energy. We are so lucky to be a part of these communities and to be working with them on this creative, ambitious and risky project.
